Things you might not have thought of

First of all, we are pleased to announce a lifting of the ban on reproduction. Whilst we meant to communicate this measure at some point last year in a bid to keep numbers down, we somehow forgot and now we’ve ended up with 4 previously uninvited guests !! Nevertheless, we’re delighted to have them and are keen for the wedding weekend to be fun for all the family. As such, a babysitting service will run on site in Ceridwen House for the night of the wedding, from 8:30 until carriages at 12am. If this timing is too late, please let us know and we can easily bring the start time forward. To book in, please e-mail us at fk@arelativelyshortengagement.com .

what_to_wearWhat you need to bring

We’re sure this will be a work in progress as questions arise, but for now……..

For those of you staying in yurts on site please remember a torch or two, this will help to save you from disappearing down a rabbit hole on midnight toilet trips!

With no pesky streetlights spoiling the view the night sky is incredible, so for the stargazers amongst us (Snugglebums!) you might like to bring your telescope!

At present the bar does not take card payments, so be sure to bring hard cash money. Don’t worry if you run out, there is a cash point about 10mins walk from the venue, however, it’s best not to rely on this as we don’t want to bankrupt the Welsh economy.

We know we’re trying to be as green as can be – and ultimately who of us looks at a map these days? However as mobile coverage can be a little hit and miss we’d advise printing or downloading directions beforehand in order to guarantee your arrival.

We’re expecting full participation in the ceilidh, no exceptions, so please bring your dancing shoes.

And lastly, (there’s a risk we may start sounding a little ‘ band camp’ here) there will be a little chill out tent so if you fancy, bring an instrument!

What to wear

The most important thing for us is that you feel comfortable, so please wear whatever you would like to wear to a wedding. The groom and his entourage will be suited and (welly) booted, so come as smart as you like !

Ladies, the whole affair / shebang will be on grass, so perhaps bear this in mind when choosing your footwear. Heels will still be fine, but perhaps not stilettos!

Whilst we’re praying for sun, there is a risk it may rain. Whatever the weather, we will still be walking through a meadow up to the tipi, so you may like to bring spare shoes or wellies and a brolly or mac. For those of you with pushchairs, there is a lane to walk up if that feels easier.

We’re planning on having an outdoor sports day in the afternoon, so in case it’s not tropical, do bring a jumper or cardigan.
