Location
The Ceridwen Centre is tucked away in an area of outstanding natural beauty yet only one mile to the nearest main road linking Carmarthen. This makes it extremely easy to reach from the East and only 25 minutes from the M4/A48 route that ends at Carmarthen. Average journey time from London is 4 hours by car or train.
Directions from the East via Carmarthen along the A484
Once you’ve come to the end of the M4 and then the A48, going West, you will reach Carmarthen. After the Carmarthen Town sign there is a roundabout (also the McDonalds & Morrisons roundabout) turn right here signposted to Hospital & Llandeilo. Follow signs to Hospital. After having gone past the hospital you should get to the final roundabout, take the right and you’re now on the A484 to Cardigan. After having driven for about 12 miles/25 mins you will enter the small village of Rhos. Following the main road still, pass the Lamb Inn on the LHS and follow the 200 metre stretch of hedge. Turn/fork left just after a white house on the RHS (there is a large blue sign at the top of the road). Keep going down the lane for at least a mile, having passed a couple of houses and a phone box about half way. Ceridwen is set back on the left, just past the main farm and before the hairpin bend.
Directions from the North via Aberystwyth & Llandysul along the A486
Having travelled south from Aberystwyth along the A487 for approx. 22 miles, turn left onto the A486 at Synond Inn towards Llandysul. Nearing Llandysul at Horeb, turn right at the roundabout signposted A486 Carmarthen. At the bottom of the hill turn right at the roundabout signposted A486 Newcastle Emlyn. Continue along the A486 for over 2 miles, through the village of Pentrecwrt and up the steep hill. Shortly after at the T-junction, turn left onto the A484 at Saron. Pass a petrol station on the RHS, then a primary school on the LHS. Approx. 150 metres after the school take the turning right (almost come back on yourself and there is a large blue sign at the top of the road). Travel down the lane for just over a mile, having passed a couple of houses and a phone box about half way. Ceridwen is set back on the left, just past the main farm and before the hairpin bend.
Local directions from A484 eastwards via Newcastle Emlyn
Head out of Newcastle Emlyn on the A484 towards Carmarthen. Travel for approx. 1.5 miles, entering the village of Pentrecagal. On the sweeping left-hand bend turn right signposted Drefach-Felindre. Continue along this road, through Waungilwen for approx. 1.5 miles. On entering Drefach-Felindre pass a church on your RHS, go over the little hump back bridge and past a yellow pub on your left. Approx. 250 metres after the pub turn left and take the next immediate left past ‘Temple Cottage’. Continue along this road, driving over another hump back bridge and through the hamlet of Drefelin. As the hamlet starts to end the road bends round to the right. Continue along the same road which will dip down past a farm on your right and a chapel up to the left. The road then starts to climb with a row of cottages on the RHS and a sharp hairpin bend round to the left. Continue climbing up-hill and bend round to the right. Ceridwen is immediately on your RHS set back a little or the Old Dairy and Byre are slightly further up in the main farm area.

Turn left, go over the little hump back bridge and past a yellow pub on your left. Approx. 200 metres after the pub turn left and take the next immediate left past ‘Temple Cottage’. Continue along this road, driving over another hump back bridge and through the hamlet of Drefelin. As the hamlet starts to end the road bends round to the right.
